Arrangements

I am very fortunate to have collaborated with musicians encompassing a wide range of cultures and genres including pop, jazz, hip-hop, indy rock etc.

Most of my arranging work is for orchestras and is inevitably a substantial “rereading” of the artists’ material. The most satisfying part of the work is, of course, collaborating with musicians whose genres are usually not mine. The result is therefore a kind of “genre-bending” through a musical osmosis. I am increasingly aware that both my composing and arranging work reinforce, compliment and indeed improve one another. I remain grateful that the orchestras and the artists with whom I have collaborated have put their trust in me, fully embracing the musical unknown.
